Keith Stewart

They say big things come from Texas, which stands to reason for DejaBlue Grass Band’s newest member. Texas-born fiddler extraordinaire, Keith Stewart was raised on Georgia ’s Okefenokee Swamp and edumacated right here at Georgia Tech.

Keith’s musical pedigree is by far the grandest trump card in the DBGB’s deck. Get a load o’this: Keith has shared the bill with Georgia Satellites, Tracy Bird, and Kansas , and gigged with David Allen Coe, Travis Tritt, Jerry Jeff Walker. He fiddled his way through 30 countries over six years touring with the USO.  (Some say he’s still bigger than David Hasslehoff in Somalia , Panama , and Diego Garcia! And in Iceland , they call him “the Zamfir of the fiddle”!) Whew!

Keith is back to his bluegrass roots after years of biker rock and “brown-eyed girl”, and the boy flat out burns up a fiddle and a mandolin! We are thrilled he has joined the DejaBlue Grass Band!  (Pssst!  When you see him next time, ask him about bein’ blackmailed in the catacombs of the Egyptian Pyramids, but don’t ask him what happened after they shut the door.)
